Hiking Malta 🇲🇹 Exploring Ġnejna ❤️🌍 I'm thrilled to officially team up with Intersport Malta and Hudson Group to represent 'Columbia' a brand that’s been part of my outdoor adventures for over 20 years! From hiking rugged trails or camping along the coastline, Columbia gear has always been durable, reliable, and ready for whatever nature throws my way. 💪 My 1st stop of the day was @intersportmalta in Sliema, where I picked out the Columbia boots (Peakfreak II Outdry) and the 'Titanium' brand hiking trousers. 👍 After that I chose one of my favorite places to put the new gear to the test, the north of Malta, where I live. The terrain around Gnejna is unlike anywhere else on the island — steep cliffs, hidden coves and caves, and panoramic views that feel like you’ve stepped into a postcard. 🤩 It’s the ultimate playground for hikers, explorers, and nature lovers, and a great place to spend the day outdoors. 🌱 Here’s are 2 ideas for hiking the area 🤔 1. Start at the Gnejna Bay parking lot and make your way along the coastline and continue uphill towards the Qarraba plateau (as I feature in the video). From there, you can take any trail down towards Ghajn Tuffieha bay and up towards the parking lot above. The whole route is less than 2km (1 mile). 2. From the Gnejna Bay parking lot, head immediately uphill towards the watchtower that overlooks the bay, staying high along the ridge the entire time. This will also lead you to the Qarraba plateau and Ghajn Tuffieha beach, but from a different perspective. Pro tip: Stick around for the sunset - there’s nothing like watching the sky turn gold as the sun dips into the Mediterranean Sea. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding bays, accompanied with the dramatic island landscape below. 😍 Just a reminder - please respect the land, leave no trace, and help keep Malta’s natural beauty thriving for everyone to enjoy.
