San Blas Bay is a hidden red-sand beach, Ramla Bay's little sister. Access requires a steep walk down or a jeep ride (EUR 2.50). Peace and quiet guaranteed.
San Blas Bay is a small, intimate beach with fine reddish sand, located about 1.5 km west of the larger Ramla Bay and roughly 2 km north of the village of Nadur. Often called Ramla Bay's "little sister", San Blas offers a similar sand colour but in a far more secluded and sheltered setting.
The only access is via a narrow, very steep road from Nadur. The final stretch is closed to traffic due to the severe gradient. You can walk down (about 10 minutes down, 20 up) or take a jeep that runs for EUR 2.50 per person. This challenging access keeps San Blas relatively empty even in peak season.
The beach is surrounded by valley slopes covered in bamboo reeds and fruit trees, creating an almost tropical scenery. A small kiosk with drinks operates on the beach, and sunbeds are available for hire in season.
Practical tip: Bring water and snacks in case the kiosk is closed. The descent is difficult for small children and people with mobility issues. The reward is a beach where you will often be almost alone.
